Ingredients for 4 people

  • 500 ml (2 cups) of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of flour
  • A little cooking cream
  • A splash of liqueur (optional, our addition)

Place all the dry ingredients and the milk in a saucepan. Stir well to combine everything. Once mixed, place the saucepan on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. When the mixture starts to boil, let it cook for an additional couple of minutes.

At this point, remove the saucepan from the heat and add 1/2 cup of cooking cream to make the mixture beautifully glossy.

Lightly coat the cups for single servings (or the large dish, as grandma used to do) with a splash of liqueur. This will add aroma and help the pudding release easily once it has cooled.

Leave to cool for a few hours and the dessert is ready... and take the spoon!!!
